Oral history of Bill Balboa, a coastal fisheries biologist, conducted by David Todd on December 20, 2021. Starting in 1988, Balboa has worked at Texas Parks and Wildlife, then at Texas AgriLife - Sea Grant Texas, and most recently, at the non-profit group, the Matagorda Bay Foundation. In each of these positions, he has been involved in studying, protecting and restoring coastal resources, including Eastern oysters. He discusses these efforts in this interview.
