Photograph included in the Associated Press feature "World's Homeless" by AP special correspondents Eddie Adams and Peter Arnett. The AP caption reads: "Playing and Giggling - Hmong children, one carrying a live chicken, play in the hillside camp of Nan, Thailand, near the Laos border. About 50 refugees a month receive permission to leave for the United States. With new arrivals added to the new births, the population of 11,000 does not diminish. The United Nations has declared 1979 the International Year of the Child."
