[An introductory proposition by the legislature of the State of Coahuila and Texas directed to the General Congress on the subject of repealing the law diminishing the national local militia in support of a similar proposition, directed by the Congress of Zacatecas. It declares that Coahuila and Texas suffer the cruel and desolating war of the barbarous Indians. "If the troops are withdrawn the state will be absolutely abandoned to the Indians."
