The Acting City Manager of Beaumont, Howard McDaniel, writes to Hanz Tanzler, the Mayor of Jacksonville regarding the comments that Tanzler made about Jack Brooks during the National League of Cities - U.S. Conference of Mayors Congressional City Conference. Tanzler made disparaging comments regarding Brooks's support for the suspension of the revenue sharing program. Legislation to suspend the program was being considered within the Government Operations Committee, which Brooks was chairman of. Beaumont was part of Brooks's district.
