Oral History of Melissa Hield conducted by Haley Butler on November 5th, 2017. In this oral history, Hield discusses the University of Texas' campus political climate during her graduate studies during the 1970's and her undergraduate education at Smith College. Additionally, Hield discusses her own coursework as an undergraduate teacher at UT, her oral history productions with People's History in Texas, Women in Texas History, and her work with Ann Richards on a variety of projects.
