At 5 minutes Into the recording, the KUT radio show Forum with Olive Graham begins featuring Sound Archive Coordinator John Wheat, discussing early Texas music history and collections located at the Barker Texas History Center. Portions of sound recordings from the archive are interspersed as John Wheat discusses Mance Lipscomb, Lomax field recordings, Blind Lemon Jefferson, Leadbelly, Sippie Wallace, Victoria Spivey, T Bone Walker, Grey Ghost and Lightning Hopkins. At 36 minutes and 12 seconds, the recording cuts Into a Spanish class that is already in progress for the remainder of the tape.
