Description
-
George Nelson, from the KPRC Radio Company in Houston, writes to Jack Brooks regarding Brooks's interest in providing live television coverage of congressional sessions. Brooks would lead a pilot program in 1977, using House security cameras to broadcast floor proceedings internally to other Members of the House. Eventually, House proceedings were broadcast nationally on C-SPAN, which was created in 1979.
