Oral history of Donna Shaver, Ph.D. conducted by David Todd on October 12, 2021. Dr. Shaver is a zoologist who works as the chief of the division of Sea Turtle Science and Recovery for the National Park Service at Padre Island National Seashore in South Texas. She is also a member of the Kemp's Ridley Sea Turtle Working Group and the IUCN Species Survival Committee Marine Turtle Specialist Group, and serves as the Texas coordinator of the Sea Turtle Stranding and Salvage Network. She is especially well-known for her work with Kemp's ridley sea turtles and discusses that work in this interview.
