Description
-
A veteran who is a survivor of the Bataan Death March, who was a prisoner of war for three years and seven months. He is holding the award given those on the Bataan Death March. He sits on the front porch of his corral-type house in the slums. Six outside flush type toilets and one shower are provided for the more than one hundred people who live in this twenty-two unit corral. The adults often go together and rent a room in a small downtown hotel so that they can all take hot baths.
