-
Description
-
In about 1914 Villa was so admired in the United States that he and Obregon were invited to Fort Bliss to meet General Pershing. Image is a copy photo by Robert Runyon that has been cropped and reversed from the original photograph, possibly taken by photographer Otis A. Aultman. The soldier at the far left (behind Pershing) has been identified by some sources as George Patton, an aide to General Pershing in the Mexican Punitive Expedition.
