Description
-
Letter from Jack Brooks in response to his constituents, Mr. and Mrs. Lowell Anderson. Brooks assures them he believes the news media should report news events on an "unbiased and fair basis," however, he also believes it is equally important to recognize the necessity of the free press. He says, "while we object to slanted viewpoints, we should do so whether or not they happen to coincide with our own particular interest." He mentions co-sponsoring a resolution affirming Congress's support of securing an honorable peace in Vietnam.
