- MS: The story I heard was that the Beatles locked themselves up for a weekend in an English cottage. Then they all took acid and listened to the first Fudge album.
- MS: I also remember a story about Sonny Bono where we did an outdoor water concert with Sonny and Cher, Moby Grape, and the Fifth Dimension on the west coast. What a stange line-up! Sonny came up to me and said Ahmet Ertegun was expecting big things from the Fudge and that he liked our version of "Bang Bang."
- MS: The way I remember it is that we were all psyched up to record one night, but the studio broke down and Shadow got us into another studio. We went in specifically to do those little passages and it took about half an hour. I said, "Is that it?" Shadow said not to worry about it and that he would find a place for it on the album.
- AV: Any final comments about the music of Vanilla Fudge?CA: Like I said on The Beat Goes On LP: "Let the music do the talking!"
