The bill H.R. 5171 is introduced to carry out recommendations by made in the Comptroller General's Report that aimed to provide optimum utilization of Automatic Data Processing equipment and to ensure that additional equipment is purchased at lowest possible price. The General Services Administration is assigned to handle "government-wide coordination of the program," while the Bureau of the Budget and Congress will "maintain budgetary control."
