Oral history of Dr. Dan Saenz conducted by David Todd on August 24, 2021. Dr. Saenz is a research wildlife biologist who has worked for three decades at the Southern Research Station in the Wildlife Habitat and Silviculture Laboratory, a unit of the US Forest Service. In this interview, he discusses the natural history of the red-cockaded woodpecker and his involvement in restoration efforts for the bird.
