Caption provided by The Daily Texan reads: "(Reading the Lists of US War-Dead) University students and citizens from no one faction or interest group gather on the West Mall to read aloud the names of American servicemen killed in Vietnam the last week. They say it will be a weekly practice on Thursday mornings, the day the Pentagon releases the names of those killed. The readings, which were started by Quakers reading on the steps of the national Capitol, are being conducted by all across the country." 1969/06/27
